unfortunatly everything from TheBat! folder was deleted so there is nothing to copy the only thing I have is that backup file which is about 447KB.

It looks something went amiss during your back-up. Therefore the only way to retrieve any old stuff is when you didn't delete it alreasy. In that caseyou can just copy the .abd files (for the addressbook) to your new account. It looks like your back-up won't do you any good.

first of all I've searched the forum but couldn't find any solution to my problem.

whell, the thing is:
1. I've installed TheBat! v. 3.51. When I first launched the program I was asked for a general passowrd for the whole program so I entered it. Then I've setup two aacount, both were working and even downloaded some emails.
2. I made a backup of my settings/email/adress book with the option in the menu.
3. Uninstalled Thebat! 3.51 and installed v3.5
4. During the setup I selected to recover the settings/email/adress book from my backup file but the only recovered the names of the accounts but didn't recover the email/adress book/and not all the accounts settings were recovered.
5. Then I tried to recover it one more time but when the program was installed and running to just recover the email but it says that the file is an incorect Bat backup file.

So is there a way to recover my mail/adress book?
