There is no TB plug-in for McAfee as they didn't write one.

This does not mean that incoming mail is not checked, provided you've configured McAfee properly.

However the additional features that are available with a plug-in, like the scanning of individual messages already stored in the message base aren't available with McAfee. Now it's possible to download a message that's infected with a new virus that's unknown to your scanner and next time you access that folder McAfee starts complaining about an infected file.

Complain with McAfee as they're the one who have to provide the plug-in as several of their competitors did.

McAfee Antivirus Scanner

McAfee Antivirus Scanner in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
I have searched for McAfee/The Bat on this forum and I found some information I was looking for.

I understood that there is no plugin available for McAfee AV. Am I correct when I say my incoming mail is not scanned now? So I am having the risk of getting a virus throught the Bat?

This is very strange. I have been using Outlook, and other mailcliënts like Poco, for quite a long time and
these cliënts do not know this problem. The mail is automatically checked.

I really like the Bat a lot but it is absurd there is no possiblity of configuring the cliënt for using McAfee. Why are there plugins for Kaspersky, Eudora etc. etc. and not for McAfee? I would like to know.

If there is no solution, there is no other choice for me than to un-install The Bat again.

What a pity,
Dutchcub
