TB doesn't support newsgroups. However you could try a news to mail gateway to read newsgroups with TB.
One that comes to mind is MyGate: http://en.barin.com.ua/soft/mygate/
I've heard from several people that they were usng it to their satisfaction.

I used to check it on thunder, then I came back to bat... and now I must check it on Opera ;/
If the bat could do that - that would be perfect..
