MORE Filtering

MORE Filtering It's time to do something in forum The Bat! - Filters.
I would have to say from all the different programs out there TheBat fullfills the Filtering end of things better then most others. Spam is a problem that everyone has, even I have that problem and running a support office we get tons of spam everyday. We have however managed to setup filters that catch this. It is a very time consuming process however if you get them setup correctly then, you'll have your own spam filter within TheBat. It is however an on-going battle.

Some suggestions to reduce spam:

1. Turn off "catch-all"
2. Filter out general words "Viagra" and variations like "V1agra"
3. Look into 3rd party spam filters that will either a) plug into theBat or b) something that you can connect to and have certain control over your filters possibly providing a score and then using TheBat to further find the "SPAM SCORE" header and if it's greater then X then throw it in the trash.

Nick
TheBat is excellent prog and the developers are great, but I think it's time to really focus on the huge SPAM problem that everybody is having and do everything possible to have TheBat come up with better filtering and easier configuration solution to combat the crazy spam problem.

That will make the program even better and that is or should be everybody objective afterall.
