I'm not sure what you mean.

Generating a quick template (QT) is rather straightforward.

Options -> Quick Templates -> Add ->
Insert a handle
Give a proper description
select whether you'd like to share this QT with other account and whether you'd like it as a new messages/ mass mailing template (that can be called from the address book)

Start typing the template, when you've got something stoired in the clipboard, paste it with Ctrl-V

Is there a function to prompt a user form input when generating a quick template.  Nothing obvious is jumping out of the documentation.
