Thanks for taking the time to explain this in detail.
I followed the instructions for OE and this is doing everything I may need.
For the time being, I am happy to continue trialling and hopefully will not have to change back anyway.
Thank again
The export tool works on the selected messages, so you select all messages in a folder and export them.

In order to get them into OE, you export them to .eml to a given directory and afterwards select them all in the explorer and drag them to the OE window.

I think that Opera supports import from unix mailbox.

The best way to get them into Outlook used to be via OE.
Roelof, thanks for the response but could you be a bit more specific.

I tried to open the TBB/TBI folders already existing with Notepad but this is rather clumsy and given the number of emails expected hardly a practical solution. How would I ever find the info - it's like the needle in the haystack.

As for the exporting, I just tried the export function under Tools but that seems to work only for an individual email. How do I export the whole lot or at least all emails in a certain account? I looked up the help file but that provides for some batch export but the info is very technical (at least for me). Is there no easy way to export a whole folder with messages so that I could still access individual emails from a different program if necessary? Is there any way I can import them in OE, Outlook, Opera or any other program?

I am still keen on continuing with TB as I like the various filter and customizing options I am slowly discovering. However, I need to be certain that I am not losing one month of information if I later decide to go back to some other program.
The mail get inaccessible via TB, but unless you've installed it with OTFE (On The Fly Encryption) enabled you can always access the messages with a text editor.
Also TB supports exporting mail to various formats, so you could export everything on the last day to a common format like .msg or unix mailbox.

Trial and after 30 days in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
I am currently doing my trail of TB with several accounts and intend to continue for the full 30 days. At this point (after 5 days) I like what I see/experience but there is still a lot to learn.
However, one important question: I understand that the trial has to be limited to certain period and 30 days is fair. However, what happens after 30 days? If I decide not to continue or upgrade to the paid version, will I still have access to the emails received during the trial period. I have no problem with the functionality being restricted or incoming or outgoing emails be prevented but I sure don't want to risk the mail of a whole month.
Can someone please clarify before I get in too deep?
