I'm afraid there isn't.
However you could visit the author's homepage (when listed) or else download it and whether there's a discription in the help file.
What most of them do though, is adding macros. I've used the MyMacros plug-in for example to insert a registry key in a template and to alter that same registry value.

On the downloads page, there is a list of available plug ins for The Bat.  I'm wondering if there is a description anywhere of what they do?
