In the meantime, I am back to Thunderbird. It doesn't have half the power of TheBat but I need a working client in my office. I will check back with TheBat in half a year.
You can insert bugs in the bugtracker, by logging in to:
<noindex>https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/main_page.php</noindex>
Choose 'The Bat' and add a new item.
First check whether someone has reported the same bug, then you can
add a note to that bug.
Bugs that are reported by more users are more likely to get attention
than bugs by one. And the system isn't smart enough to understand
that bugs might be the same.
And add just one bug per entry. Makes everything easier, both for
other users who want to add a note and for the developers.

Is there a bugtracker somewhere where we can post this to? Maybe the developers are not aware of this issue.
Yes there are settings, but it doesn't make a difference.

It used to work in previous versions of thebat, but now it doesn't. (IMAP only)
Generally it's considered best to have server-side filtering enabled for IMAP. It kind of defeats the purpose of IMAP to let your client do the filtering.

Having said this, I know that there is an option somewhere to enable client-side filtering, but as I currently don't use any IMAP accounts I can't point you to it.
Mabye it's not even related to SpamPal. I have now uninstalled Spampal and the filtering is still not working, or I should say it's only working sporadically (Again, I am using IMAP. I have never tested any pop3 accounts).

Most of the time my incoming mail comes in and it is unfiltered. I have to manually select 50 messages and re-filter them. Then they get moved to the correct IMAP folders. Why on earth can't this be done automatically?
I have the same problem, but no SpamPal. Filters don't work on IMAP. Filters work with POP.

Please tell us what do you mean with "installed the SpamPal" - which filters or settings did you add|change?

I'm using SpamPal with the Bat! (POP3) and it works fine.

Hi, I am using 3.64 Xmas edition. Today I updated to the 3.64.03 beta version from Betanews, just to make sure I have the latest version. I'm using IMAP exclusively. Windows XP SP2.

Before I installed & started using SpamPal all my filters were working fine. E.g. I check for a certain sender and move such emails to a certain IMAP folder automatically (!) upon receival. The target folder is a sub-folder of INBOX.

Now, after installing SpamPal the filters do not work at all anymore - automatically that is. However, if I manually refilter the incoming mails they get moved correctly. That means the filters are still correct and the rules apply. But somehow TheBat! doesn't run them anymore automatically when new mail comes in.

What can I do to make filters work again?
