I was right clicking on the folder and checking properties there.  I never thought about your method.

I see now that's what RL was trying to get me to do too.

Select a common folder
Go to:
Account -> Properties -> Options
and that's where you'll find it. The setting will be valid for all common folders. It's one of the few 'account related' options that's available for common folders.

Thanks but there isn't that option.  These are common folders that use common filters to filter selected senders to the folders.

The 3 accounts I have that might receive any of the sender emails all have the Mark messages... unchecked. But these isn't an option for the common folders.

Go to the email account in question, then choose:
Account
Properties
Options
And there un-check 'Mark messsages as read when it is being read for'.

Thats should work... Well, it does for me.  8)

I have a couple common folders and they mark as read seems to be about 2 secs but I can't find a way to turn it off. Can that be done?
