Sorry, I meant space bar, not scroll bar.

I have the time unchecked for most of my accounts because my wife is technology challanged and didn't want any use changes from our previous email program (Becky). With Becky the email will change from unread to read using the spacebar when it goes to the next email. Made it easy for her.

For the most part she's happy with the way I have TB set up and I much prefer TB's ability to configure so many things. Personally, I'm happy with the change.

Larry
I'm not sure what you're doing with the scroll bar. But in you set set the time you've seen the message before it has to be set to read in:
Account -> Properties -> Options
I've set the time to zero seconds, so whenever I'm switching to a new message the previous one is set to 'read'.
Does the scroll bar work? I use it for scrolling messages and it will then jump to the next message when completed.

It would be nice though to have an option to mark read when TB skips to the next message. Of course that option may be there but I can't see it.

Larry
In the Viewer/Editor preferences we can choose one of
the following two viewers for plain text messages:

Rich Text/HTML Viewer
Plain Text Viewer

I prefer the Rich Text/HTML Viewer, since it is more
customizable and, in particular, can highlight
the signature text. However, this viewer has no
keyboard shortcuts for scrolling (Alt+Up and Alt+Down
shortcuts work only in the Plain Text Viewer).
As a keyboard-adherent user, I would be happy
to have scrolling shortcuts in my favorite viewer.

By the way, Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down are also good
candidates for scrolling shortcuts, since they
are chosen for the most popular HTML viewer
in the world (which is Internet Explorer today).
So, if I could assign keys for scrolling,
I would prefer Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down.
