I'd like to add my vote to this, too. Right now, I use The Bat for all my email, except when I get one of the emails with lots of external HTML images.

Then I have to load up Thunderbird to retrieve the same email just so I can see it. It'd be nice if I could use The Bat for all of it.

====quote====
I like the way Thunderbird handles images. By default they're turned off but you can click on a button and images in that email will be displayed.
=============

I loved this feature in Thunderbird too!

Of course, it's now already possible to execute the HTML part of the message by clicking on the attachment, which will then open the default browser. But in this way it is not possible to display inline images.

All in all, I think the HTML support in The Bat is good enough. If the HTML renderer is kept simple, there is less potential for exploits which may be used in email worms. If a "View images" button was added it would be the best choice, in my opinion.
This seems to be an on-going request and discussion.

I for one, while I appreciate and rely on the way TB handles external images, would also like the option to turn images on for specific emails. I like the way Thunderbird handles images. By default they're turned off but you can click on a button and images in that email will be displayed.

The way TB handles html is one of the biggest weaknesses, IMHO.

That said, I have no regrets about my switch from another email client to TB.

Larry
I know that The Bat doesn't display images as a safty protocol. But isn't their a good argument to have this feature available via filters? A lot of the email I get from trusted sources are fairly unreadable without the images. It would be quite good to have the option to have the images avialable on them. So I can see it as I flick through rather than having to load up a internet browser.

Is their any plugins or work arounds?
