Just to start you could try whether 1.62 or 2.12 will run on your computer. They're both available for download on this site. When they run properly, you could try to update them with v3.

I tried to install the newest version (Home) of TheBat; is there an older version available for download for this older PC of mine. The documentation on this site states that it works with Win95; that makes me think I'm doing something wrong.

I can always use an inferior client for this old machine, but it would be nice to enjoy TheBat on it too.

I never used any TB version with Win95, so I can't give you any advice. What version did you try?

Trying to install TheBat on one of my old machines (after I did a clean reinstall of my Win95 OS), and after installing TheBat and starting it,I get the error message:

"A device attached to the system is not functioning:TheBAT.EXE file is linked to missing export KERNEL32.DLL-try EnterCriticalSection."

Your site states that it should work on a Win95 OS, so anyone have an idea what thiat error message means? i tried downloading the dll listed above, only to discover that it isn't missing--I already have it, so that's not the answer.
