====quote====
I've tried copying the email folders from one pc to the laptop, but TB doesn't pick up the new account info. Even with Ctrl+Alt+Shift+L.
=============

usually it should work to add a new account in TB after copying the files to the standard mail base directory with the new account name being the same (!) as the former one - the TB should immediately (second dialog box) use the existing data

(but as you stated: it will _not_ show accounts only because there is data, when you did not add those accounts)

Backup & Restore

Backup & Restore in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
In case you have D:\ on the laptop, just create
D:\Program files\TheBat!\ folder

Restore, then open Account Properties/Files&Directories for each account
Change the paths to point to C:\...

---
Another way, delete all the accounts on the laptop from theBat, then close it.
Then just copy your mail folder from
[desktop]D:\Program files\TheBat!\Mail\*.*
to
[laptop]C:\Program files\TheBat!\Mail\

Now start theBat, it will likely display the accounts. If not, press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+L

Hope this will help, not sure

Backup & Restore

Backup & Restore in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
I've done a backup on several accounts on my desktop and tried to restore them to my laptop. TheBat on the desktop is installed on D: and on the laptop on C:.

When I run restore on the laptop, it gives me the error message: Can not find D:/Program files/TheBat...

Even after giving up on the restore process, starting Bat on the laptop continues to give the same error message for every account and every folder.

Is there a way to do this type of restore?

Thanks
