Nick the problem is a wrong translationof language file;
I have same problem on italian version (I'm doing last release translation now)and it is solved working on field lengh

Their whole filtering system is definitely buggy.

This is tricky to describe.  Controls within the filter dialog box that use the drop-down list are blank, as though the font used to display them is missing.

If I left-click in the correct position, the drop-down list then displays, so I am able to successfully create/edit filters.

The problem is that if I have lots of filters, I can't see what they do without clicking on every control to see what choice I've selected.
