I have been using TB very happily with FastMail for a long time. I just tried an account create sequence and did not have any glitch at the transport stage. Very roughly, here's the sequence...

Account --> New
Specify an account name (e.g. FastMail)
    Next
Specify a user name and email address (e.g. joebloggs@fastmail.fm)
    Next
Check the IMAP4 radio button
Specify mail.messagingengine.com for both incoming and SMTP servers.
Check the box for My SMTP server requires authorisation
    Etc.

Are you doing something different?

Hi ,

When I follow ritlabs guide for setting up a fastmail (imap)account I hit a pronlem at section 7:

"You'll be presented with the 'Account Properties' dialogue box with your name and email settings details. Click 'Transport' on the left. On the right side, click the 'Protocol' drop down menu and select IMAP4."

When I try to do this I get a pop up box saying:

"cannot change protocol to IMAP4.Create a new account instead"

I'd appreciate any suggestions , Thank's In advance ,Richard.
