PGP key import

PGP key import cannot import PGP key neither from file nor from mail in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
There are multiple ways to use PGP with The Bat! If you are thinking about importing an RSA key then you are looking at the built-in PGP 2.6 implementation within the software itself. If you have GPG you can ignore that.

Instead, focus on publishing your GPG home directory on the system path. Once The Bat! can see that you have GPG, it will appear as an available option in the Tools / OpenPGP / Choose OpenPGP version, at which point everything you are looking for becomes immediately available.

I use this setting myself.
I'd love to use GunPG with The Bat!, but I have no idea how to import my RSA key - is this possible?

Also, I'd like to verify other persons keys by having The Bat check them against public keyservers, but again this doesn't seem possible.

Does anyone have a HOWTO or guide how to setup GnuPG with The Bat ?

Thanks.
One of the main advantages of The Bat!, against my old email client (Thunderbird), was the all-in-one powerful features out-of-the-box.

Antispam filter, PGP, spanish interface, and spanish dictionary, ...

I do not know if addding DSS support is a huge task or not, and if it could be refunded by more purchases.

But what about pre-bundling GPG, and allowing to use the same current key manager?
Why not use PGP or GPG instead of TB's internal implementation? They work seamless with TB. And of course they support DSS keys.
Hope the development team will implement DSS support soon, since it is the format used by the majority of users...
For all who care -
I got the following answer from the helpdesk:

If these are DSS keys that you tried to import, i.e. PGP 5-6-7-8, then the internal PGP does not recognise them.

Either use the external one or ask the partner to generate RSA pair as well.

Peter
I tried to import a key from a text-file.
TheBat! gives me no error message, but I cannot find the key anywhere. The Help file does not give any hints.
Then I tried to import a key file from a mail. Same result.
Trying to encrypt a mail to this recepient gives error message saying that there is no key for this recipient.

Could somebody tell me how it has to be done correctly?
