could also be a login/permissions issue.

Try first to open from PC2 the account folder on PC1.
Either in Windows Explorer address bar or in the Start/Run box, type
\\pc1\the_account_folder_on_PC1\
If prompted for username/pass provide them. Once you do this and see the folder on PC1, try using TB from PC2
Does this happen when you're accessing the message base from PC1 too? In the recent versions of TB simultanious access to the the message base is no longer supported.

The only other reason I can think of is that you've got something pointing to a non shared directory or to a directory that's linked to another path.
As an example, your addrbook.ini might point to your addressbook file at
c:\program files\the bat!\mail\MyAB.abd
while your TB instance on PC2 can't find it at that location...
I've tried this but some strange things happen. When I point the Account to PC2 everything seems OK until I press OK when it says access denied to messages.tbb and account.cfn eventhough there is full access. When the window closes the account on PC2 shows the message information as expected. However, when I close The Bat on PC2 and open it again it has lost the link. Any ideas?
I think you should simply set TB on the 2nd PC to use message bases and address book on the first. To do so just share the account folder (or it's parent one, with write access) on PC1. On PC2, goto Account properties -> Files & Directories, and for 'Home directory' select the folder on PC1, it will probably look like
\\pc1\somedir\

I'm not sure if this will make TB automatically use the other address book too. If not, click Tools -> Address book, in the Properties you can set the path to the .ABD file on PC1
I have two networked computers, one running Bat Pro. I would like the operator on the second computer to be able to access messages and the address book. The Bat does not need to be open on both machines although this would be nice. Is this possible and how do I set up the second machine?
