I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem! I also have XP (Pro) SP2 but I don't use CCleaner. It seemed to occur when I changed from 3.80.03 to 3.80.06. I just tested the "for review" function in Excel and, like you, found that the attachment had the correct filename. Very odd.

I have reported this to Ritlabs as a bug but, as with my other post regarding problems when generating e-mails from MS-Access, have received no response - not even an acknowledgement. Nor is the Forum informing me of new postings for some reason - hence the delay in responding.
The same thing has been happening to me. I'm using Windows XP, SP2. I recently applied MS updates - around june 16th. The problem MAY have appeared after I did the update. I also ran CCleaner recently and perhaps I clobbered something when I cleaned things. Which OS version are you using? Any chance you are using CCleaner also?

I also noticed that when I send an email from Excel "for review" that the proper file name goes to The Bat!

Paul

Attachment File Name Using File/Send in Excel etc in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
I am using the latestr version of The Bat! (3.80.06) but on changing to 3.80 I have encountered a problem with Excel. If I want to send a spreadsheet as an attachment by using the File/Send To/Mail Recipient as attachment.. the name of the file attached to the e-mail always has the suffix "tmp" and the first part seems random. Previous versions attached the file with the name of the spreadsheet - anyone got any ideas why this is happening and what I need to do to rectify it?
