The POP3 protool that TB uses to download messages has no way to mark messages as read. The only thing you can choose between is to leave messages on server or to delete them from server.
When you want to mark messages as read on the server, you need to use the IMAP protocol, but I don't know whether your ISP supports that.

The difference between POP3 and IMAP is that POP3 downloads the messages to your local computer, while with IMAP your messages are read while they're on the server, leaving you no local copy of the stuff. With IMAP you'll need more space on the server and broadband cnnection to make it usable.
Hi!
After TB downloads a message from the server and I read it in TB, then when I go to my server's inbox folder through the usual webinterface (with my browser) I find that the message remains marked as unread on the server.
How do I set TB to mark the message as read on the server as well ?

Thanks.
