I'm using TB's native AB, it offers me the possibility to work with groups and to assign templates to single entries as well as groups.
(I really appreciate AB-bound templates)
Apart from that you can use the groups as filter conditions in the sorting office. I think that filters that trigger on AB-groups are most frequent in my sorting office.

TB isn't able to work with specific TB features like AB groups or AB templates when working with an LDAP AB.
That's the main reason I stopped working with LDAP.
