In the properties of each folder you can assign a maximum number of messages or a maximum age for the messages (or both)
As additional setting you can set per folder to purge messages that exceed these limits and compress the folder on exit.
I think that's the best option for you in this case.

Well, I get several technical emails which are sorted in different folders and emails contain informations which expire whitin certain time. So I ought to deal with the relative age of mails.

There's no search condition in TB that allows for that.
What is it that you're trying to achieve?

I knew this. Sorry if I did not express myself correctly. I do need not only the oldest message but the oldest messageS (of each selected folder/subdir).

Create a virtual folder, select all of your folders (that you want to include to your search)  the select folders button.
Don't use any filter
Sort the found messges on creation date and you'll find your oldest message.
Your virtual folder will be remembered for future use.

I would like to make a filter or search which gives back only the oldest message.
I have several subdirs. Until now I have to sort the messages by creation time (in all subdirs) and select the first, manually.
I cant define exactly the age. The first is the oldest.

Are there any sollution for "Age" oldest or "Sorted order" first?
