Over here I can't reproduce that behaviour. I'm currently having three pads in SmartBat, the third being no more than two or three days old and still containing the passwords and URLs I created it for.
Yes, TB and my computer have been shut down after creating the latest pad.

I'm using OTFE (On The Fly Encryption) for my message base (and thus for SmartBat too), I don't know whether that has any bearing on this issue.
I'm getting the same behavior. WHen I go to save the file it defaults to smartbat.txt but never acutally saves it - no error there is just no file

SmartBat 3.80.06 Notepad Problem saving notepads - they don't save in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
OK, I must be fundamentally missing something very simple because I can't get the notepads to work at all.

1. F6, enter text into notepad after timestamp, close, F6 - its gone.
2. F6, enter text, tab between scheduler and notepad, text is still there, but after close it is done.
3. NEW PAD, xyz, enter text, switch between tabs, contents of each tab are gone when I switch without even closing out of smartbat.

In its current state, smartbat is completely useless to me. Since I see no mention of problem with the functionality in the forum, I have to assume I must have a configuration or other user error. Suggestions?

(Oh, SmartBat DOES seem to remember the extra notepad file tabs when I re-enter smartbat, it just seems to forget everything inside of them). Early alzheimers.
