Yep, I'm using a newer version: the latest beta. I guess there's almost two years development between our two versions.

An update could surprise you pleasantly.
Thanks Roelof, but I already tested this and it does not work for me - creates a file named just
%Subject
,no extension.
My setting is
C:\__EXP\%Subject
, no empty space at the end. Also tried
C:\__EXP\"%Subject" which does not create any file

It's maybe because of the version, I still use 3.0.1.33 - you know, if it ain't broke...
I guess you use a more recent one?
Maybe it's time to update.
Yes, there is such a possibility, set the filename to path%Subject, that will save to a file name almost equal to the message subject, illegal chatacters like :'\" etc will be converted to underscores.

I tested it just now with a message being saved to C:\test\%Subject and that worked just fine. I knew it was supposed to work, but I never tried it. Just type the filename in stead of browsing to it.

'Export the message' filter action Can you set export file name = msg subject ? in forum The Bat! - Filters.
Hi,

I have a filter which exports matching messages as plain text files.

I need to have each message exported to a separate file, the only way to achive this is to select the option to increment the file name in case file exists - so I end up with files like msg1.txt, msg2.txt etc.

Is there any way to set the file name to be the same as the message Subject?

Thanks
