Multi user on 2 laptop

Multi user on 2 laptop How can I use my bat file on 2 computers in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
Are you sure that the only difference in configuring one machine as server and the other as client is the use of tcp/ip? Are there no other things TB considers when you tell it to work in client/server mode? If you use two installations parallel TB doesn't "know" that multiple users work on the same message base. What happens if user A reads an e-mail while user B deletes it at the same time?
There have been various problems when using the client/server mode in TB since version 1.63. Are these issues resolved? Is a safe operation in client/server mode possible in version 3 even with 4-5 people working at the same time?

====quote====
I have two laptop and I want to access my bat mail from one to another wihtout missing a thing, How can I do that?

=============
The way to do this depends a bit on what you want to achieve exactly.
Do both pc's have their internet connection and do you only want to use the same messagebase for both of them with only one bat running at a time.
In this case you install TB at one as workstation with tcp/ip, create an account (or more), and you make TB's mail directory shared for your LAN (it's up to you whether you want to do that with passwords or not)
The other pc you install TB as workstation with tcp/ip too, you claim to want to create new accounts during the install. When it comes to installing the new accounts, point your mail directory to the shared directory and give as account name the same name you used on the other system. TB will recognize the existing account.

The other possibility is to have one instance of TB running as server and to take care of sending and collection of your mail.
To do this, you install TB on the first pc as 'TCP/IP or Dial-out server', create your accounts and share your mail directory. When you've already installed the TB that you want to use as server, you can change it to server at: Options->Network&Admin->'Network'tab->This machine is...
The other system gets TB installed as 'Non tcp/ip workstation' and you direct the creation of new accounts to the existing accounts on the server.

In both cases you could enable 'Allow local delivery' on the 'network' tab of network&administration when you're using multiple accounts, that way you wouldn't use your ISP's server to get mail from one of your accounts to another.

====quote====
Other things, my other laptop used by 3 different users. Do Bats have identity change so other user can't see my email?

=============
When each user has his own account in Windows, they won't see each others settings for TB nor their accounts. As TB stores its settings in the local user part of the registry.
When you're using the same Windows account, you could devide the accounts in groups at the Network & Adminstration config. Keep in mind that you need to configure one account/user as administrator and remember the matching password or you're in big trouble when you want to change it.
