This forum is a user to user support forum, not a place to issue feature requests, that's why there is an official wish list.

You can insert wishes in the wish list, by logging in to:
<noindex>https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/main_page.php</noindex>
Choose 'The Bat! wishes' and add a new item.
First check whether someone has made the same wish, then you can
support that wish.
Wishes that are supported by more users are more likely to be granted
than wishes by one. And the system isn't smart enough to understand
that wishes might be the same.
And add just one wish per entry. Makes everything easier, both for
other users who want to add support and for the developers.

if it does not then i guess it should. it's a considerable drawback especially for corporate users as myself.
I don't think TB supports ldap over TLS, but you could use stunnel for that.

You can download Stunnel from <noindex>http://www.stunnel.org/download/binaries.html</noindex>

LDAP addressbook with security in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
suppose i have an ldap server, a port and the following:

...with a specific syntax for the login: "cn=login,o=domain2,c=domain1".

so the first question: how can i access an ldap address book which uses TLS? i didn't find any security settings for an address book (bat 3.85.03)

and the second is: where should i put that "specific syntax" above?
