I figured it out. The problem was with the Nod32 plugin I was using. I just went ahead and removed the plugin since it isnt that big of deal anyway.

Actually it sounds more the like "Windows XP Exclamation and Windows XP Error" sound. It plays one then immediately plays the other.

I have a sound wav file set to play when new mail arrives. It does play it. But I also get a certain sound from all three of my mail accounts when new mail comes. Its the same sound as when a download is complete using IE. Its the "Chord" sound located in the windows/media folder. Any idea why its making this noise and how to correct it?
