Are you sure the .msg files included the headers  Date: To: From: etc?
.msg should have the format as messages received by The Bat! when you view the source (Press F9 on a selected message)

You want to right click on the bar that had to, from, date etc, go to "message list columns" and make sure CREATED is showing and that is where you will get the correct date for imported messages

Ah, I see. Thanks.

I just tried to import a couple of .MSGs, but the imported emails miss the original date field, the subject field, the "from" field and several other fields.

Is there anyway to properly import .MSG files into TheBat?

if you have highlighted an account those options will be grayed out

Highlight a folder (or make one) THEN the options will be availible.

How do I import .MSG files into TheBat?

The "Import Messages from .MSG/.EML Files" option under "Tools -> Import Messages" is grayed out, and dragging and dropping .MSG files into TheBat doesn't seems to work either.
