im sure this is easy... how do i change the location of the default signature?

it always gets added to the BOTTOM of the mail, but invariably the mail i'm replying needs it closer to the TOP.. and i find myself going AGAIN AND AGAIN to cut it from the bottom and paste it up near the top, where i have typed a reply...
