I have tried using yahoo.plus on different mailer, but its just not working with the bat!. I am assuming that its mainly because the bat! doesnt support SSL? If thats really the case, what can we do about this?

Please advise. I have done everything possible to get things working.
Are you using the yahoo smtp server to send mail from a hotmail address? Does that work with other mail clients? There are providers that don't allow that and I'm not familiar with yahoo's policies in this regard.
Thanks for your reply.

Roelof, you are right. I am trying to configure TB to access my GMAIL account and send mails through the Yahoo SMTP.

What I am trying to achieve here is to have a common SMTP server since I do a lot of moving around. I access the internet through various networks. Such set setup eliminates the need for me to keep changing my SMTP address depending on the network I am using.

I try to stay away from the GMAIL smtp as it is very selective on the type of attachments.

It appears you'd like to use the Yahoo smtp server for your gmail account. When properly configured that should pose no problems for TB. However lots of anti-spam measures definitely diminish the chance of your mail getting to its intended recipient that way.
Therefore I'd suggest to use gmail's smtp server for your gmail account.
What are you trying to schieve by sending everything by one smtp server?
I'm not sure what you mean by "sue them together" I have several Gmail accounts and a Yahoo that I get via Ypops and they all play together well.

There IS an issue where the connection center will seem to hang - my way around that is to set the mail to POP at different times and some don't even try to get mail at start up. I still get the hanging connection center but just close it or "Abotr all"
I am a Yahoo Mail Plus subscriber which allows me to access my mails using POP3 and SMTP. I have multiple Accounts (Gmail, Personal Email, Yahoo Mail) configured already. Apparently, I can't use the Yahoo SMTP and GMAIL POP3 together. But, for my other personal accounts, the Yahoo SMTP works fine.

Any ideas whats going on?

Thanks
