That's odd behaviour. Haven't heard that before.
What are your settings for viewing HTML mail?
You can see them at:
Options -> Preferences -> Viewer/Editor -> View HTML messages using...
I've got both HTML messages and messages with alternative layout set to view as 'Plain Text version and HTML'. That gives me two tabs at the bottom of HTML messages, giving me the option to view as HTML or as plain text, but it'll default at the latter. Apart from that there's also the option to open the HTML attachment with your browser.

I hope one of these options help.
Just wondering, are all HTML messages in that one account rendered unreadable or are the problem messages all sent with the same mailclient?

Another option would be not to revert to TB v2 (I presume you were using v2 before this), but to extract the thebat.exe from the v2 archive on the Ritlabs site (WinRar will do that just fine) rename that thebat.exe file to thebat2.exe and copy that to yor TB program directory, create a shortlink to this second exe file and you can start the TB version of your preference just by selecting the proper shortlink (though you can't run two instances of TB at the same time). IIRC V2 and V3 use different registry keys to store the registration info , so you should be able to keep both versions registered at the same time.
V1 was longer ago, but I've got this vague recollection that that could be handled the same way, I wasn't following the beta program at that time though, so I didn't have any reason to switch between versions at that time.

Note that when you're alternately using an old and a new version folders created in v3 won't be visible in v2 or v1, nor will folders created the old version (after the transition) be visible in the new version. Same goes for altered filters, templates or account settings.
Hi!

I have been using The Bat for quite some time now and was always happy with it, less maybe a few bugs.

Well, I just found a new one and need urgent help: I just downloaded and installed v3 (which beutifully incorporated all my old setting, files, folders etc.). However, in one of my email accounts, text in all my html - emails is now just a scrambled salat of letters and numbers, completely unreadable, and hence the messages are lost! I already tried importing the emails again, but that didn't do any good. Unfortunately a number of these emails contain important contact information of which I have matter to acquire them again. Any suggestions how I can make the letter salat readable again?? Is there a code or something?

Short of de-installing The Batv3, re-installing my old version, read the emails, print them, den install v3 again, I can't think of much, but honestly, that's heaps of work, so I'd be REALLY grateful for any suggestions!!!

Ta, Anja[B]
