What do I do about client and server setup?

What do I do about client and server setup? in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
An option would be to install a local mail server on one of your machines, the one that used to run TB in server mode for instance.
There are lots of cheap or free mail servers that offer more possibilities than TB in server mode.
In case it's important to share the same message base I suggest IMAP. TB's handling of IMAP has been vastly improved during v3 (not that I'm using it myself) and especially on a LAN based server it should run wel.

Another option would be to fall back to a version before 3.65 in order to regain the client/server mode.

The last option would be to add a wish to the wish list that Ritlabs restore this feature. If a a lot of business users with multiple licenses ask Ritlabs to restore or else the won't upgrade, I can see a possibility that Ritlabs will reconsider their policy. Especially this close at the end of the v3 run. (3.98 is pretty close to v4, isn't it?)
Of course it's possible that it's such a tiny part of TB's user base that still wants to use it that Ritlabs doesn't think it prudent to incorporate it again. After all it's a bit of an antiquated concept that at odds with the general direction in the way email is used nowadays.

You can insert wishes in the wish list, by logging in to:
<noindex>https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/main_page.php</noindex>
Choose 'The Bat! wishes' and add a new item.
First check whether someone has made the same wish, then you can
support that wish.
Wishes that are supported by more users are more likely to be granted
than wishes by one. And the system isn't smart enough to understand
that wishes might be the same.
And add just one wish per entry. Makes everything easier, both for
other users who want to add support and for the developers.

I want to know the answer to this as well. What possible reason would cause ritlabs to remove this feature. This is what made the bat! better than other mail programs.
Hello

I've just upgraded to 3.98. I thought it was a bug that The Bat does include the section in Options > Network & Administration.

But it turns out that The Bat got rid of the feature in version 3.65.

So is there a different way to handle it?

It's very important that only one machine out of the 7 machines we use sends and receives mail. You see for starters it all goes through SpamPal and not directly.

What should I do?

Thanks
