There are lots of differences between v3 and v1. What's important for you in this case is this:
V3 uses different files to store the folder properties, account properties and sorting office.
When installing and running v3 it will import those settings from the v1 format files. When you want to step back to 1.62r you just uninstall v3 and install v1 again, yor mail directory just will have some files that will be ignored by v1.
All messages that have been received or created in the mean time will be still accessible for v1 with the sole exception of messages that are stored in folders or account that were created using v3.

Basically on reverting from v3 to v1 the following items are lost: new accounts, new folders (and their contents), new filters and alterations in the properties of your old accounts, folders or filters.
Hi there,

I'm still running 1.62r but I would like to try the new version. I have three questions:

1) If I install the v3 trial version and for some reason I don't like it as much as I like 1.62r, can I just uninstall it without doing any damage my 1.62r installation? Will my 1.62r still be as usable as it was before?

2a) Is v3 able to import all my 1.62r settings and emails?

2b) If yes, will I be asked if and when I want to import my data? For example, I wouldn't want to import anything as long as I'm just playnig around with the trial, but if I choose to buy the full version I would certainly want to import everything.

happytulip
