I am been using it for 2+ years with no problems. As a paid user. After Avira, trend micro gets thru with it=no spyware. I looked at this awhile back= <noindex>http://www.spamato.net/</noindex> and ran it as a stand alone. If somebody would make a plugin for it, it would be awesome. I just hate routing 8 accounts thru a proxy server and stopped using it,but it really worked .
Totally dishonest scam (about AGAVA), been trying to get rid of it. This TMAgent spyware, spybot, is way worse than spam, is still on my system.

As soon as something can be done about TMAgent, I'll try to post it in here. It's actually funny, this is an "anti-spam" plugin, however spam doesn't mess your system up, so spam is the lesser of two evils, if the plugin worked in a decent way, we all would gladly pay for it.

Ritlabs, shame on you. It's amazing that you have such a fantastic software and still allow these crooks produce and advertise themselves with your product.

Best wishes everyone to get rid of this thing. We can also get a bunch of signatures and submit this scam to several authorities and there could be a lawsuit in the future for AGAVA, just take a look at the guy who is boasting himself as a part of the team, he can't even spell in English, he has to "explANE" the situation, no wonder they're involved in "REEP-OFFS" and "SKAMS".

Sergio
Hello all
Just bumping this thread so any new users of The Bat know that AGAVA is a rip off. Don't buy it.

I fianlly got a reply from their support but it did not address the issues.

I am having great luck with AntispamServant

Knowing how all desperate we are to find SPAM solution, they try to cash on the fact.

The latest I PAID and tried for year was AntispamSniper (ASS) for The Bat!

Nothing but grief. I believe first 3 plug-ins are made by the same people. One junk - all junk.

Basically once installed the ASS, brings theBat and PC to halt.
You have to use ctr+alt+del to get out of it.

As you can see the developers are nice at first, ONCE you pay they change and you are on you own.

Nice scam!

It's time TB team takes over and develops something for the SPAM them selfs!
Neither Support nor Mike Ilyin have ever responded to support requests

I have entered my registration code yet the
TMAgent has taken over Internet Explorer and shoves
ads in my face

I find that again the plugin thinks I am
"unregistered" I cannot enter the serial number
again as it keeps showing "invalid serial number"
although it worked a week ago.

I sent another support email letting you know that
your automatic update consistantly fails. No
response. I have downloaded and installed the
latest version which may have something to do with
me no longer being "registered".

--
Rick
I just sent this message to Michael and to AGAVA support. The reasons are self explanatory
wish I had never paid for it
>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I just updated my plugin for The Bat
I am a PAID user
The update installed "Target Marketing Agency" spyware on my machine
Why????????

Again I am a paid user and when I paid there was a certain expectancy of privacy and fair play. I did NOT expect to become a victim of your "partners" or whatever you call this scheme

I'll post this in the bat forums. You may want to reply there also.

--
Rick
OK. Thank you for your statement.

It would be very fine to mention the fact on your webpage.

If I had found another alternative, I should never purchase your plugin.

I was very pleased the way bayesit worked with the former versions of the bat.

Agava is very close to it concerning the report on what is spam and what not.

This is why I dropped a message on this board.
Other people may be just deinstall your plugin without asking for an explanation.

I will register now confident in what you said.

Thank you

René

Hi!

I'm the member of AGAVA Software team. Furthermore I'm Software Department Director in AGAVA Software. Let me explane you the situation.

You can use AGAVA antispam plugin for free, but the adware module will show you text ads in IE.

If you don't want to see theese ads - just purchase our plugin. TMAgent (adware module) will be deactivated immediately after entering the reg key of AGAVA plugin. You will never see any ads shown by it. Also, you can deinstal it if you think you don't need it.

If you still have some questions - write me via e-mail: michael@agava.com. I think all troubles are solvable.

With best wishes,
Michael Ilyin
AGAVA Software
I do not know if it happen only in the free version. This is why I checked their website with no avail.
It would be fair to mention the fact on the download page before you start the trial period.

I do not want to pay first to discover that the TMagent is part of the package. We know about refounding situations from experience...

This is the reason why I posted a message on that forum awaiting a statement from the bat or agava team members.

I let this morning spybot remove the TMagent with the result that I receive all spam as previously now. So agava does not work without the tmagent installed.

is this adware in the free or in the paid version ?

If in the free version, there is nothing to complain about. Although I trully hate apps bundled with adware and never use such, developers have the right to put whatever they want in their free products. Don't like it - don't use it.
If however there is adware in the paid version, you should ask for a refund.
But whatever it is, it has nothing to do with theBat really.
I tried the Agava plugin.

They mention on their web page that it was developped together with the bat team.
