Is there any solution to this problem? The best way would be to add new command to extract attachments from message base in order to compact it. Alternatively The Bat could put attachments into a separate folder (if the option is active) while importing messages from TBB files just like it does with EML files (the problem is that with EML files all the flags are lost). Please let me know if you're planning any of these in the next versions.

--
Przemek
Today i tried exporting and reimporting as you said, and it indeed worked but when i moved the messages to their original folders the attachments got "re-rencoded" in the message files. I store the old messages in folders outside the accounts tree BTW.

I don't see any option for attachment storage on those folders (only on account settings) that's why i imported the messages to an inbox (with the modified settings) first then moved them to the second location.

Any suggestions on this? thanks.
Unfortunately, I don't know any other alternative.
Thanks for the response, the solution you mention is something, but if i do that all the settings such as Flags, Parking Status and custom colors (Color Groups) will be lost? because if so, then it would be alot of work to restore all those settings one message at a time... i suppose i have no alternative?
You can export that messages to Unix-mailbox and then import them with the account option to store attachments in the external directory. However, if you have multiple folders, this may be boring, because you will have to export-import each folder one-by-one.
Hi. I'd like to store my attachments on an external folder instead of with my message files (i believe it's MESSAGES.TBB).

I am aware that there's a setting in the account properties that can do that, but what about the attachments that are already stored in there? is there a way to extract those attachments leaving only the messages in that file?

Thanks.
