no, You have right it is by design and it is not selectable. AFAIK there are no plans to allow this.

I recently upgraded to v3.99.1 Home Edition and have noticed that the Attachment column no longer displays an attachment icon on some emails. It seems that if a message has an image file imbedded in the HTML code, then it doesn't display the icon. If the message simply has the image file attached, but not displayed in the HTML message, then it displays the icon properly.

Since this behavior is obviously being selective about what it displays the icon for, I assume it's by design rather than a bug. So, my question is... is there a way to make it display the attachment for imbedded graphics like it used to? If not, perhaps you could put in an option in an upcoming build? Thanks.
