imap: server-side 'sent' folder

imap: server-side 'sent' folder in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
OK, I worked it out. The problem is with using the Bat's own 'imap folder manager'; folders ARE created in the imap inbox, but in the eyes of the 'imap courier' email system running on the server, they are not recognised as proper email folders.

If I go to the system's horde or squirrel-mail web interfaces and create the folders from there, they are properly created and 'registered' with courier. Further, the folders display in 'TheBat => mail management => predefined folders...' section, and once selected here, the local 'sent' folder turns blue and is syncronised with the imap folders.

When I send messages, they get put into a local 'sent' folder. When I 'syncronise all folders', the sent message is not uploaded to the remote 'sent' folder.

I'm wondering if:

- it should work, but the 'sent' folder has something wrong with it?

- it should work, but the Bat has a known bug/limitation that prevents it?

- it should not work; this is not part of the imap concept?
