Here's Yahoo!mail folder statistics:

And here's the same account on The Bat!:

Now I noticed that maybe MOST of the inbox
went to The Bat! "Junk mail" folder.
But still, I might be losing up to 200 emails,
considering only Yahoo(Inbox+Bulk) - TB(Inbox+JunkMail).

Any thought?

t_kio

@Marek Mikus:
I'm using Yahoo UK (mail.yahoo.co.uk) and
the POP3 is 100% FREE

@pcs
I have tried Thunderbird and FoxMail, but
both are seriously lack of features.
And yes, that's even with Thunderbird's add-ons!

Hope one can help me overcome this issue soon

Thank you,
t_kio

P.S. 2 yukio: maybe somebody using yahoo should reply, AFAIK POP3 in yahoo requires additional fee, so I am not using it.

2 pcs: what mailserver You are using, where TB ignores new messages?

about problem with delay in placing into queue - I am maintaining czech and slovak lists of users and betatesters, nobody reported such thing and I did not saw this in any thebat list.
Don't bother with this program, after reading around it seems full of bugs. I tried to set it up and test it, but found some pretty serious bugs. I've got several accounts and all of these are set to retrieve messages and delete them off server. On one account its not retrieving messages and thank got at least not deleting them off server. New messages are ignored. There's also delay in placing into send queue after email composing and other issues.

On top of everything, a new version will be out soon and you will have to pay for it again only to probably receive new bugs.

Waste of time IMO.
Thanks for the prompt reply.

I just looked into my Yahoo!mail folder statistics,
and actually there's a whooping 37K+ emails sitting
in my Inbox. Then I looked back to The Bat!, and all
I have got is only like 31K+ emails.

Where's the rest 6K+ ? Isn't it a HUGE lost?
(And that's EXCLUDING folders that got ignored
by the pop3 protocol as you said)

Where it has been missing? And why?

Thanks in advanced,
t_kio
You're working with two protocols that aren't compatible. The po3 protocol doesn't allow for messages to be marked as read, so I guess the 'read' messages have been read via the webinterface. Whatever the consequences are with regard to TB downloading them or not I cannot say. The read status doesn't mean a thing to TB (I should say to the pop3 protocol), however it may mean something to Yahoo's mail server, I don't know.

With regard to the extra folders. The pop3 protocol doesn't recognize folders in a mailbox. Therefore only the messages in the webmail inbox will be downloaded
Hi,

First of all, I'm on dial-up connection and Yahoo UK.
I was running The Bat! to download all my 30K emails,
I can't complete it in one take. So it's like I paused,
disconnected, and resumed later on the next day.
I finished it on the 3rd day.

Thing is, once it's completed, I found many of
my emails missing (maybe tens if not 100+, not sure).
Some that I can confirm are emails I've been putting
in folders of the Yahoo! actual web mail.

One more thing,
I found out that some emails are now marked as "read"
and some are still as "unread" randomly in the web mail
(inbox, bulk and all folders). Some of the "read"s
has not been fetched to The Bat! and some of the
"unread"s has indeed been fetched! Does it indicate
that The Bat! was not fetching my emails correctly?

Anyone know what kind of problem I'm facing?
Please share the workaround, thank you.

t_kio
