Thank you for your reply.

I'm sorry if I missed your suggestion in your original message, I thought it read that the filter was part of the parameter. Please accept my apology.

I am sure you are correct that this is a good way of "taking care of this problem". So, in the time since I've read your reply here, I've read the Help Topics regarding Creating a Filter, and tried it several times. However I must have set it up incorrectly.

In Sorting Office, under General Tab, I used Subject contains txt. In Action I used Move to the Folder:
C:\\the path to the Sent Folder.
In Options: This filter is active.

In Scheduler, under "Execute these actions when event finishes", I selected this created Filter as a refilter action.

Yet, the files do not move to the Sent Folder after sending. They remain and recurrently send.

So I must have done something incorrectly. I tried this, under the Sorrting Office General Tab using Subject, Recipient and File.

I am trying hard to do this without asking for more help, but theBat! has so many features and it takes a bit to learn it. Some guidance at this point will be immensely appreciated. Thanks sooo much, again.
In my first message in your original topic <noindex>http://www.ritlabs.com/en/forum/read.php?FID=4&TID=4583</noindex> I suggested that you'd use an outgoing filter to delete or move the file that was sent as attachment.

What's the problem with that way of taking care of this problem?
Thank you for your reply.

I've been working on this and have moved the tpl and cmd to a directory and put the Output file in a subdirectory. (And I've changed the paths in the cmd and tpl, but I'm not sure what filter you're talking about?

However, the files in the subdirectory keep sending over and over to due the recurrence with which I've specified in the action.

I've tried every "Excecute these actions when event finishes" action to remove the files from the Output folder once they been sent, but when I Add an "Excecute these actions when event finishes" they don't send, and hwne i remove the "Excecute these actions when event finishes" they send over and over.

Is there any way to remedy this? How can these files send once and leave the folder?

I've even tried appending the cmd by adding F= the path to a "sent" file, after Send.

Is there any way to move the files out of the folder once they're sent while using the cmd and tpl files?

Please help me. I've worked so much on this I feel like giving up on theBat!. Thank you.
Place your template and cmd file in another directory and not in the directory that you're watching. You've got to adjust the path mentioned in your filter, .cmd file and template. But that shouldn't be too complicated.

Mail command parameter action issue

Mail command parameter action issue in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
I have set up an action in theBat! with MAIL command parameters, thanks to a very helpful contributor, on this forum. The action extracts the file from a certain directory extract the file name (which is an email address) and sends the file as an attachment to the email address.

I was kindly provided two files to accomplish this action, a Template file and a Command file. These files successfully accomplish their intended purpose. However, I want the action to check and recheck this directory (Output Directory) for new files and send them as they come in. However, by setting up the action to recur every few minutes, the same files get sent over and over again.

So I set up an action under "Excecute these actions when event finishes", to Watch and Send and move the files to another folder after they are sent. That is successful in solving the issue of files getting sent over and over again, however, the problem is that the Output Directory gets cleared out every few minutes, and it clears the Template file and the Command file too.

So, I am looking for help to find a solution that might somehow keep the action from moving the Template and Command files out of the Output Directory, and just move all other files out, or somehow be able to place the Template and Command files in another folder and still execute the action.

Thank you for looking this over and considering to assist me. I'd greatly appreciate a provided solution. The Sendfile.cmd and the Sendfile.tpl are as follows:

For %%i in ("C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\Output\*.txt") do "C:\Program Files\The Bat!\thebat.exe" /MailT="C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\Output\Sendfile.tpl";A="%%i";To="%%i";S="%%i";Send

-----Start of Sendfile.tpl-------------
%SetPattRegExp='C:\\Documents and Settings\\My Documents\\Output\\(.*?)\.txt'%-
%RegExpBlindMatch='%To'%-
%ModifyOnce(To)%-
%SetHeader(To,%SubPatt='1')%-
Hi %ABToFirstName="%ToFName",

I hope you like this.

Regards, %FromFName
------End of Sendfile.tpl--------------
