GnuPG Integration

GnuPG Integration in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
There is a known problem with GnuPG that it has changed the way it registers the path to the GPG.EXE in the registry. The new version of The Bat! will be able then to identify the new version of GnuPG without forcing the user to modify the Path environment variable.
Hello,

it appears this problem is exclusive to Windows Vista. I found this solution on another forum and thought I would share it with you:

0) Close The Bat! and make sure you have access to Administrator privileges for the computer
1) Go to the Windows desktop
2) Right click "My Computer", choose "Properties"
3) Click "Advanced system settings"
4) Open the "Advanced" tab
5) Press the "Environment Variables" button
6) In the lower list, scroll down to "Path" and double-click this entry
7) In the "Variable value" text box, go to the path "C:\Program Files\GNU\GnuPG\pub" and remove "\pub" from THIS path (paths are separeted with semicolons (";"), do not change the other paths)
8) Close all windows by clicking "OK".
9) Start TB!. GnuPG integration should be working now. If not, try restarting Windows.
The message you want to decrypt, was that a message that you sent yourself to somebody else or was it a message to you.
In order to decrypt a message that you sent, you must have it encrypted with the recipient's public key and with your own public key.
Also you need to use the same address (both for From: and To:) as the key is mentioning, otherwise TB won't encrypt/decrypt.
Just noticed the pass phrase dialog mentions an "unknown recipient". Not sure if this is related to my problem but I thought I'd mention it just in case:

<noindex>http://saved.im/ndc0n2vqegs/clipboard02.png</noindex>

GnuPG Integration in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
Hello,

I have just installed GnuPG with WinPT and GPA. I can encrypt and decrypt via the key managers and in TB! the GnuPG option (menu Tools -> OpenPGP -> Choose OpenPGP version) is enabled and not greyed out like most of the other options.

However, neither encryption nor decryption does work within TB!. After opening an encrypted message, there is an icon with an evelope and a small lock (its tooltip text says "Decrypt/verify OpenPGP message"). When I click on this icon, it shows a dialog where I can type in my passphrase. After doing so, TB! shows this window:

<noindex>http://saved.im/ndc0m2h3nm8/clipboard01.png</noindex>

I'm new to all this email encryption stuff so I don't really know if there is anything else you might need to know in order to help me... please ask if anything is unclear.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
