Hello Roelof, Thanks for the good suggestions or work around's. Of course I CDRW backed up and then deleted the problem causing new account. I will try your methods after I fully configure and backup what I now have in the working TB. Thanks!
Did you really delete the new account or did you merely move them to another location? In the latter case you can import the messages again via:
Tools -> Import messages -> The Bat message base v2

I don't know whether it's possible to restore single accounts. (Never tried that.)
But what you can do is copy your complete mail directory to a different location. Restore your backup. Close TB. Replace the account directories that you didn't want to restore with your plain copy. Start TB.

TheBat will not Start.

I created a new email account and moved folders from another account into it using the CTL+Shift+arrows method before removing the old account. All was responding and functioned before exiting TheBat program. Upon next starting of TheBat, the splash screen briefly showed and then nothing, the program aborted loading.

ex_log.txt shows multiple lines of "GUIDEF:Cannot bind layout item [ViewFrame].[mReloadImages]" and "GUIDEF:Cannot bind layout item [ViewFrame].[mShowURLManager]" followed by multiple duplicate lines:
v3.98.4 ATHLON/Atom 5/27/2007 11:01:36 AM jpgd:1 EAbort Operation aborted and a single line as follows:
v3.98.4 ATHLON/Atom 6/7/2007 2:24:39 PM RasMon:4 EAccessViolation Access violation at address 0044E4DB in module and then multiple lines of: 'TheBat.EXE'. Read of address 00000008 and "tbmain:StartThebat
EStackOverflow Stack overflow"

I assumed the email database was now corrupted. After much fiddling, I eliminated the files of new email client directly from the directory and TheBat then was able to start.

Is there a way to uncorrupt the lost files of the newly added email account database? Is there a way to selectively restore single email accounts from a current .tbk file?

When the program fails to start after working properly previously when files have been changed, there is no way to repair or even diagnose what the problem is. You are left with "messing and fiddling around" using a somewhat systematic process of elimination.

There needs to be a way to easily backup TheBat without needing the program running for restoration or repair.

Any help on how to restore the database would be GREAT!
