Can you give an update: is the information above still valid in 4.0 (meaning: will all those not account/email specific settings be in that registry location) ?
After reinstaling windows I lost some settings, especially the default account for new email from common folders - can't even find the setting anywhere including this forum
I'm not sure what poperties you mean.
A number of settings are stored in the registry, you can keep these for safekeeping by closing TB, run regedit, select the key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT" and export that to a file named thebat.reg
Next time TB has lost these settings (never occurred to me) you close TB, double click on the file thebat.reg and answer yes on the question whether you want to import these settings in the registry. Afterwards you can start TB again.
Note that the settings in the registry are those settings that aren't account or folder specific, account or folder settings are stored in files in the mail directory and its subdirectories.

how can I solve the problem of losing the properties data of my Bat? because, when I have some error or I shut down the Bat not properly, the property can be blank. No data in it, and I have to fill the blank column again and again. Seems wasting the time. any ideas?
