After further testing, I have determined that the Bat! is working properly.  I just wasn't used to the way it used the prefixes and colors.  It appears that the original quoted message and the first reply will be in the same color and prefix but the next reply has ">>" for the prefix and the different color.  Sorry for the mixup.

I'm using MicroEd plain text editor but I have tried switching to the Windows plain text editor, but still get the same results.

What editor are you using? (MicroEd, Windows text, HTML/plain, HTML only)

I'm just asking a bunch of questions as don't know where to look for this problem.

When I reply to a message that has been replied to already, the original (even) quotation prefix, which should be ">>" is ">" instead, just like the odd quotation prefix.  The even quoted text is also the same color as the odd quoted text though it is set to be a different color.  I'm new to The Bat!, having just purchased it, and I'm sure I probably screwed something up when I was setting reply settings but not sure what.  Any ideas?
