In that case a Quick Template (QT) would be the easiest way to go.
Create a QT (via the menu):
Options -> Quick Templates -> New
Give the QT a name, let's say sentmail
Create a template that includes all the stuff you want and start the template with the %Clear macro, this will erase everything that you had in the message (so any account or AB template will be erased in the current message)
You start the QT by typing its name followed by Crtl-Space (that's why I suggested a new you could remember)

I hope this is more to your liking.
I don't want all outgoing to have a custom template, just those occasional (maybe even rare) ones that I already sent and am doing a reply or addition/correction to, where I right click on the recipent and select reply to this address.
Unfortunately, TB offers custom templates for all folders except Inbox, Outbox, Sent Mail and Trash.
So create a filter that drops all outgoing mail to a custom folder and create a folder reply template for that folder.
That sounds pretty convoluted to me for just having a custom template. On my Amiga 1200, I believe YAM (Yet Another Mailer) had custom templates for each mail folder.
try this way
-create a filter for outgoing mail
-as a condition set 'Source folder' = Sent Mail
-as an action set 'Create a formatted message', for a folder where message to be created select Outbox.
In the formatted message dialog you can specify a custom template.
In the Options tab for the filter select 'Queue in Outbox', you may additionally put an action Flags -> Mark as parked , to avoid sending without editing.

Once the message is in Outbox, double click it to edit , then send.
There are times that I have replied to a message that I sent (reply from sent box) and I would like a custom template for only that folder to the effect of:

====quote====
Hello %OToFName,

%Cursor

%ODateEn, %OTimeLongEn, I wrote: ...
=============

Is there any way of doing this short of editing it in the mail every time? Might v4 have such a capability?
