The ironic thing is that you must have outlook installed on your computer for The Bat to connect to an exchange server. The set up is easy, when you get to about the third set up screen, where it asks for the server information, just below that you will see a box - select "outlook" - now "The Bat will automatically install the setup from Outlook.

The one catch I find is that sending messages The Bat only uploads to the "exchange server" but will not send the email and you must log on with outlook or web mail to send. Still working on that one -- but it is handy to keep all your email in one program and if you are like me with several different pop mail and mixing smtp servers to send The Bat is better than outlook --  


PS -- as stated before if you want to leave your mail on the exchange server for archiving you better select that function --

FWIW, I just today tried configuring The Bat! to work with my company's new Exchange server. On the account settings dialog, I entered my username password both into the username field, in the form: username/password.

I personally spoke with the Hungarian support. Tried 3.99, 4.0.7, 4.0.14 as well. We tried to find the solution, but unfortunetly we couldnt. So I wrote the problem and he forvarded to Ritlabs. We have to wait and use outlook.

No, I still cannot enter a password and log in.  (Using version 4.0.11.)  I have tried POP3 and IMAP, but neither of those will work (although they do enable me to enter my password ).

Basically, I have given up.  I still use The Bat for my personal accounts, though.

Have you found the solution? I have the same problem, but I choosed in the version 4, use the outlook configuration. Unfortunetly the password window apper for a second, but after then disappered, and the bat recognized that i dont have new mail. So i still looking for the solution, cos i dont like outlook...
