If speed is what you want, don't send your files by mail. Get yourself a website and upload your files via ftp, that's what I do with large files. Next you send a message to your contact that contains the

Because smtp has been developed solely for text transport your attachments have to be encoded, TB uses MIME encoding (that's the same as other mail clients use). MIME encoding of a file results in a file that's about 35% bigger. Therefore using ftp in stead of your mail client means that you can upload four files while using the same bandwidth as you'd use with mailing three files.

Other advantages:
FTP server tend to be somewhat more efficient in data transport than mail servers
Most mail servers have a maximum message size for messages they accept (10MB isn't an odd limit, that means a 7.5 MB file attached)
Most mail servers use quota for their users: a maximum size of the inbox and now you ony send a small message
Your contacts can download the file at their convenience, they don't have to wait till your large file has been downloaded before they can receive their other messages

Does TheBat! send all Outbox emails at once? Or one a time? in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
your internet connection has certain maximum upload speed (amount of data per second transferred from your PC to something else).
This max. upload speed probably limits the speed of sending messages. If so, it doesn't matter if you send 1 or 5 messages at the same time, as always the same amount of data goes out per second. As the total size of all messages doesn't change, it will take roughly the same time to send them all together, and to send them one by one sequentially.

Although unlikely, it's possible the server to be the bottleneck - that is, you send at speeds higher than what the server can handle. In this case the server limits the sending speed, but if so it makes no sense to establish multiple connections to that server.

So finally, you'll eventually send faster only if you send messages simultaneously through different servers (and only in case it's not your max. upload speed that limits the sending speed). Make some tests to check.
ok, now I see where you are going.
ok, lets say your internet connection has an upload speed of 512Kbit/s (upload is the opposite of download, when you send a mail, that mail gets uploaded to your ISP's server). So what happens now is that you send a mail and that is uploaded with 512Kbit/s or at least as fast as it can go, let's say you are sending a big file that takes one minute to send. If you send two mails with equal big files it takes you one minute each after another, so you need two minutes to send those files. Still with me?

You want simultaneous connections. So lets say you are sending two of those big files at the same time. Both connections have to share that 512Kbit/s connection, so each one is only getting 256Kbit/s speed. So the speed is halved for each send, which makes each file take two minutes to send. Since they are sent at the same time it takes you two minutes alltogether to send those two mails...
You see where I'm aiming at? It will take you the same time regardless whether the mails are sent after each other or at the same time. Theoretically at least. In the actual implementation I can see that you probably will get a bit of speed gain if the smtp server of your ISP is not as fast as your upload speed.
Similar to what happens when you use so called download accelerators.
But then again, most smtp servers are pretty fast and will not suffer from this.

How to get more speed/faster internet connection? Change ISP or get a faster service from your ISP. If you are using an old analog modem, get cable or dsl, if you got cable or dsl, see if you can get faster deal with your isp.

I hope you understood what I wrote. I tried to make it understandable but I fear that I probably just confused you
Thanks again for your reply and comments.

No, recipients do not need to get the same file or get the email at the same time.

I am looking to send faster, because when there are many emails with large attchments in the outbox, it takes time to send them one at a time.

In regard to your statements: "Your connection is probably not the fastest".

> How do I get a faster one?

"sending 2 or more messages simultaneously will not result in significantly faster sending of all the messages"

>Can you please tell me why?

"2 together will be uploaded at half speed of one"

>Uploaded where? Can you clarify/expand on this statement, please?

Thanks again.
well, the server may be able to do that.
I still don't understand what is the actual reason to want simultaneous sending.

Is it a must recipients to get it at the same time?

Or it just takes too much time on your side to send messages? - if so, your connection is probably not the fastest, and sending 2 or more messages simultaneously will not result in significantly faster sending of all the messages - 2 together will be uploaded at half speed of one, could be even slower.
Thank you SO much for your reply. I appreciate your willingness to discuss this with me.

Your reply "duplicating will not help...the smtp server will..send them one at a time" may not be the case, if my web host's support reply is correct. They stated:
"The mail server installed on your hosted account will send outgoing emails using multiple threads so it can send multiple emails at once, however, I don't know about your email client", which is TheBat!.

So, if I can please ask your opinion, based on this, is there any other reason you can think of where "duplicating the account will not work"?

Thanks again. I look forward to a reply.
duplicating the account will not help. Even if you establish many connections to one smtp server, and from your point of view many messages are sent simultaneously, the smtp server will likely put them in a queue and send them one by one, so the recipients will not get them at the same time.

If you want to send the same big attachment to many people, upload the file somewhere and send them only a download link. This way your messages will be small and all sent in seconds.
Thanks again for your reply.

I am translating documents and automatically sending the completion to customers' via email.

I'm looking for a way to speed up the process of deliverying theses faster if there are several emails in the outbox.

You stated "you're using the same account".

So I'm wondering if I duplicate my account, by setting up Account-2 in theBat, with the Sent files and Sorting Office (that I currently have set up in Account-1). That would produce two outboxes, but would I need a second outbound connetion?
No TB can't send those at once, you're using the same account, so they have to go one after another. No way around that restriction.

But why this fixation on sending them simultaneously?
Thanks again for your reply.

Yes, these all these outgoing emails have attachments.
So, I'm trying to see if it's possible to not have them send one after another, but to send all emails currently in the outbox simultaneously.

Presently, I'm using these send files to automatically send emails:

For %%i in ("C:\BAT\TAoutput\*.mp3") do "C:\Program Files\The Bat
\thebat.exe" /MailT="C:\BAT\Sendfile.tpl";A="%%i";To="%%i";Send

and this file too:

%SetPattRegExp='C:\\BAT\\TAoutput\\(.*?)~~(.*?)\.mp3'%-
%RegExpBlindMatch='%To'%-
%ModifyOnce(To)%-
%SetHeader(To,%SubPatt='1')%-
%Subject="This is a test"
Hi %ABToFirstName="%ToFName",
Thank you.
Regards, %FromFName

Can multiple emails be sent simultaneously using Regular expressions, Templates, Macros or through the Sorting Office actions?

Thanks again.
I meant that messages were sent one after another without you giving a new 'send' command.

When you've got ten messages in your outbox and you press the send button, all of them get sent. Not simultaneously, but almost simultaneously. Unlees you're sending messages with large attachments, but a plain text message won't take any time at all.
All at once? No.
But give the command and they'll be sent in one sequence.

But why this focus on sending all messages at the same time? My guess is that sending them one after another would be just as fine. After all, you don't write them all at once either.
One at a time per connection. Every account makes its own connection so you might send two messages at the same time.
An smtp connection to your ISP's mail server goes like this:
c: Hi, it's me. I've got mail for you.
s: Fine send it.
c dat
c: that was it
s: fine thanks
c: I've got another one
s: Fine send it.
etc.
