IMAP - by definition leaves the mail on the server. You can also create fodler, copy/move items from the InBox to another folder etc.

That being said, IMAP within The Bat! does have a few problems.

Don't see "leave messages on server" in mail management. I have the Home edition, version 4.0.14. Does that make my menus different?

Account -> Properties -> Mail management -> Leave messages on server

I've just started using TB and am wondering if there's a way to toggle the delete/leave messages on server option after an account is created.
Apologies if the answer to this is obvious, I can't find it.
