I'm saying, that there've been times when I spent some time configuring colors, etc- then when I had to do a fresh install, my mail directory was fine but my color settings etc i'd made were gone, the program was at defaults- you're saying these things are stored inside the registry key you mentioned?

Thanks so much for the tips!
Everything you need to backup is inside your mail directory (accounts, messages, filters, address books etc.).
So it's enough to schedule regular rar-ing of the mail folder. To have smaller backups with settings only, you may exclude *.tbb and *.tbi files.

What appears in Options -> Preferences is stored in the registry, to make a backup export the key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT
to a .reg file, then you just have to dbl click the .reg file to restore the settings.
I have noticed that upon new install, when you specify your mail directory it picks that up fine, but not the program preferences, so these must be stored in a different location?

If i'm correct, in order to use the bat's internal scheduler, the bat must be constantly running, right?

If I didn't want to do that, could I use my file mirroring utility to back up my program preferences?

I'd need to know the file locations though- can anyone help out with some pointers?

Thanks,
J
