Really upset about the stability of TheBat

Really upset about the stability of TheBat in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
better go back to an older version of theBat - something before 3.99. There seems to be tons of issues with the new v4, but this actually started with 3.99.something.

Then, follow these 4 simple rules:
- do not use theBat for backups. Simply rar or zip the mail folder or individual account folders, everything important is inside(messages, filters, address books etc.). This allows you to restore individual message bases or files with settings without whatever troubles
- do not use message base encryption. If you want to protect data, put the mail folder in an encrypted container (like a TrueCrypt volume).
- every week or so compress all folders
- do not upgrade without reason. If a new version doesn't have new features you care of, there is no sense to upgrade as this may only bring you headaches.

I've been using TheBat since Aug, 2005. And now I'm using Voyager 3.99, still anticipating the coming V4. I love its features a lot, including macros, account management, and so on....

However, I've encountered something upset indeed. My document base corrupted once in a while, and therefore I lost a lot of my past messages. After sending an SOS mail to the support ppl, I knew that I should not keep "too many" messages under one folder, and thus I used sorting office more extensively to spread the mails into more detailed folders. It seemed to solve the problem.

But this week I encountered one more strange problem. I've got 4 mail accounts. And I simply can't connect to two of them, without any known reason. At first I thought it was the mail servers. But after trying other softwares, I realized it was the Voyager, since all other softwares, including TheBatV4, work and connect like a breeze. I still can't resolve the problem.

Because of the problem stated above, I tried to migrate from Voyager to the new TheBatV4. And I backup the mails with backup feature. Then I restore the backup file on TheBatV4. Everything seemed to work fine, but... when I tried to browse my mails, the bloody document base corruption struck me again. And 1 out of 3 folders' document bases were corrupted.

I need a reliable mail software, and I thought TheBat was one with loads of good features, but it seemed to disprove itself. And now I think I'll go back to the free thunderbird again.
