Hello!

Thanks for the quick answer, the solution was not the Navigator button (that was disabled by default) but very close: the animated icon for unread messages caused the flickering. Disabling that solved my problem.

Cheers,
Michael
Have you enabled the menu navigator button, that's supposed to be on the same location as you place your extra button.
Try to disable the menu navigator and see whether that helps.
Options -> Preferences -> General -> Disable 'Display MenuNavigator button on the Caption Bar'

Nvidia Toolbar flickering in forum The Bat! - Configuring the E-mail Client.
Hello all,

I've used The Bat already back at the end of the nineties and am thinking of doing so again, at least for the time I'm running windows.

However, I might have stumbled over an annoying bug: I'm using a Nvidia Video Card (WinXP) with a dual-monitor setup. For this I have an extra little toolbar on the right side of the titlebar of every window (right beside the "minimize, maximize, close"-Buttons which lets me move windows to the other screen and back.

This little toolbar is flickering with The Bat. It does that with no other windows and an upgrade of the display drivers didn't help either.

Any ideas? Is The Bat using a strange way of redrawing the screen or something? Or a "hidden" window popping up every 100ms?

Cheers,
Michael
