did you leave theBat running, or closed it?

theBat's scheduler isn't really a true scheduler, as tasks run only when the program is running

Can you think of a reason why a Scheduled recurring event that has Properties > Stop repeating this event > Never, would stop repeating/recurring?

My scheduled event was recurring and I left it and came back hours later, and it is no longer recurring.
